Religious Life of the School
Religious Education at St Mary's College seeks to answer student's spiritual curiosity and deepen their knowledge and appreciation of the Christian life. All students participate in the classroom study of Religion. Programs are designed to be academically challenging while also encouraging personal reflection and commitment.
St Mary's College provides a Catholic Christian culture with opportunities for prayer and reflection. Students are encouraged to be instruments of peace, justice and compassion in the world. Our extensive liturgical program marks important feasts and seasons of the Church's year as well as the significant steps in the journey of secondary schooling. The Mission program includes a wide range of social justice activities which teach students the ideals of Christian mission. These activities reflect a culture based on the spirit of Jesus, filtered through the charism of Catherine McAuley. Students are constantly challenged to live the Mercy ideals of spirituality, education, community, hospitality and mission to the poor and marginalised.
